Scott lives and works in West Virginia.

downtown Charleston, West Virginia.
Scott Evans is a veteran attorney with over 30 years of litigation experience in State and Federal Courts, as well as before various government administrative agencies. He represents clients in all range of employment litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA leave issues, Wage and Hour, CARES Act (COVID-19), employee issues, West Virginia Human Rights Act, West Virginia Medical Cannabis Act, West Virginia Safer Workplace Act (drug testing), Workers’ Compensation discrimination, invasion of privacy issues, workplace investigations and West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act matters.

In addition to litigation, a good portion of Scott’s practice has been employment consultation work involving day-to-day HR/personnel issues like leaves of absence, harassment claims and investigations, terminations, disability accommodations, COVID-19 related issues and wage and hour matters.
“Employment consultation is one of the most challenging and I believe one of the important parts of my practice. My goal is to help clients navigate the many layers of complex State and Federal employment laws. I find it very rewarding to help clients who face tough situations in the workplace achieve their ultimate objectives.”
Mr. Evans is admitted to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia. In addition, he is a former Chair of the Defense Trial Counsel’s Employment and Labor Committee (2012-2013).
